To assist in achieving the goal of fully electrifying urban buses by 2030 and to promote the development of low-carbon transportation, eTreego is honored to be the technical provider for the construction of public charging stations for electric buses in Hsinchu City. On November 4, Acting Mayor and the city government team personally visited the Beida parking lot to inspect the usage of the charging stations, stating that this facility has successfully served the pilot bus route and is an important milestone for low-carbon transportation in Hsinchu City.
This pioneering fast-charging station for electric buses in Taiwan provides convenient and efficient charging services for public transportation, supporting the city government's efforts in promoting the green transformation of public transport. To further enhance bus operation efficiency, the city government has also established two "electric bus exclusive" parking spaces, with plans to expand more charging station facilities in the future. By collaborating with businesses, they aim to promote the implementation of more electric bus routes, providing citizens with more environmentally friendly and convenient public transportation options, and realizing the vision of a green smart city.
To further enhance the operational convenience of electric buses, the city government plans to continue expanding charging infrastructure in locations such as Nanda Road and Beixinchu Station, establishing a complete electric bus charging network. The currently installed charging stations are equipped with universally compatible CCS1 interfaces, capable of meeting the charging needs of most electric buses on the market today. They also feature card-sensing activation and fast charging technology, with each parking space equipped with a charging setup of 180kW2 + 120kW1. This not only effectively shortens charging times and ensures uninterrupted vehicle operation but also allows for a fast and convenient new mode of transportation, improving the efficiency and reliability of public transport. This policy actively implements the goal of fully electrifying buses and promoting green transportation by 2030, and it will also encourage operators to more actively replace their fleets with electric buses.
In terms of safety, we strictly implement the highest standards for relevant protective measures. To prevent overheating during charging, we have set up an instant monitoring system that will immediately notify the management platform and stop charging if the temperature of the charging gun exceeds 90 degrees. Additionally, AI technology-supported thermal imaging cameras are installed around the charging station to detect flames, smoke, and temperature changes. We also provide fire blankets as effective tools for firefighting units to respond quickly, ensuring public safety.
eTreego will continue to promote green transportation and smart city development, achieving a seamless future for electric transportation.
