Tainan's first smart green energy gas station is launched using multiple power supply and energy

In order to cooperate with the government's energy transformation policy, China Petroleum Corporation of Taiwan promotes smart green energy gas stations. The first smart green energy gas station with multiple power supply and energy storage systems, the "Tainan Qianfeng Station Demonstration Station" was opened today (14th). Mayor Huang Weizhe said, Qianfeng Station can serve as the vanguard of CPC  corporation power generation and energy storage demonstration stations. We hope that the Qianfeng Station demonstration station can be quickly promoted and become an advanced station leading Taiwan’s green energy technology. We also look forward to the construction of more power generation and energy storage stations in Tainan in the future.

Mayor Huang emphasized the importance of green energy technology, which is helpful to humans and friendly to the natural environment. As a green energy demonstration city, Tainan City has 5,148 solar photovoltaic approvals filed as of the end of December last year (207). The cumulative installation capacity is 649 million watts, the annual power generation reaches 870 million kilowatt-hours, which is equivalent to the annual power generation of 3.2 Zengwen hydropower plants, and the carbon reduction amount reaches 464,000 tons. The city government, like CPC  corporation, spares no effort in saving energy, reducing carbon emissions, and developing green energy. In particular, Tainan also has the Sharon Green Energy Science City approved by the central government. Tainan has a very good industrial chain in terms of both research and application, so it is wise for CPC  corporation to choose Tainan.

Mayor Huang pointed out that the power generation part, whether it is the green solar panels on the roof of Qianfeng Station, or that Taiwan already has a lot of wind power generation, or that it is now developing offshore wind power, it is an energy conversion, combining wind energy and solar energy. It can be converted into electrical energy; the energy storage part is also very important. If the energy storage can achieve fast charging and discharging, it can also reduce the weight and volume, so the application end will be wider.

The demonstration station integrates two power generation systems: rooftop solar power and fuel cells using natural gas as feed. It is supplemented by Taipower's power grid as a multiple power supply source and uses two major energy storage systems: vanadium flow batteries and lithium titanate batteries. Carry out power peak reduction and valley filling dispatch to achieve the effect of smart energy saving.
